BLOG: Enough with federal mandates and regulation

As announced on Tuesday, KOCHPAC endorsed my campaign for the 4th Congressional District of Kansas.
I'm humbled and honored to receive the endorsement of the employee funded and employee member political action committee of Koch Industries.  
 
As one of the largest employers in the 4th District, Koch Industries employs thousands of Kansans, creates jobs and helps our local economy grow.  KOCHPAC’s endorsement is about employee-contributors coming together to decide who they think will best represent their families, their jobs and their Kansas values in Washington, D.C.  And, as we all know, Koch Industries is a truly shining example of Kansas entrepreneurship, dedication to limited government and commitment to allowing outcomes to be determined by markets – not politicians.  I am most proud that my message of freedom, limited government, rule of law and rewarding risk-taking has resonated with KOCHPAC.
 
The federal government has long enough stunted the growth of the economy in the 4th District of Kansas and across the entire state.  Federal mandates, regulation and rising tax burdens are keeping businesses from growing and adding jobshere in America.  We need less government intrusion in business -- simply said, the federal government needs to get the heck out of the way and let the citizens, entrepreneurs and company leaders have the freedom to fail and to succeed.  If we do, our nation will return to prosperity.
