Pro-Life Grassroots Leader and Founder and Chairman of Kansas Judicial Review, Richard J. “Dick” Peckham Latest to Endorse Mike Pompeo for Congress Citing Mike Pompeo’s commitment to the United States Constitution, leading Judicial Review activist Richard J. “Dick” Peckham endorsed Pompeo’s candidacy for U.S. Congress today.
Peckham is the most recent of a flurry of significant endorsements received by Pompeo, a first time candidate for public office, over the past two weeks. Peckham joins two other Republican leaders who each had been formerly rumored to be considering their own candidacy for the seat: Sue Schlapp and Matt Schlapp.
Peckham unsuccessfully sought the GOP nomination for governor in 1990, but he has always been a powerful voice for traditional family values in Kansas. Over the past three decades Peckham has played a crucial role in protecting the lives of our unborn children. He has also worked tirelessly to protect the constitutional rights of conservative judges and to clean up the judicial selection process in Kansas.
“Having been a leader in the conservative movement for more than 25 years, I’ve grown to know many of those who have either entered the race or have considered doing so,” Peckham stated. “And while I consider many of them to be good, solid conservatives, I can think of no one better than Mike Pompeo to represent our shared values in Washington D.C.”
“Mike Pompeo’s business savvy, demonstrated commitment to serving our country and conservative values are needed today more than ever,” Peckham concluded.
“I welcome the support of Dick and all Republicans, and all Kansans for that matter, to our team,” Mike Pompeo said. “Dick has been a steadfast defender of the Constitution and I believe that our expansive government is an assault on our Constitution — the same Constitution I took a pledge to defend when I went to West Point, and the same Constitution that has served our country well for more than two centuries,” Pompeo concluded.
