WASHINGTON – Kansas 4th District Congressman-elect Mike Pompeo today selected his office on Capitol Hill.
In a lottery drawing to determine the order of the office selection process, a Pompeo staffer reached into a wooden box and pulled out number two – giving Pompeo the second overall selection of available office suites for new members of Congress.
“It’s been a great week and I’m eager to begin working with my colleagues to lead our nation back to prosperity,” Pompeo said, reflecting on the New Member Orientation meetings over the past five days. “The American people have entrusted us to grow the economy by creating an economic environment that will put people back to work. We must shrink the size of the federal government, repeal Obamacare and say no to out of control spending when the 112th Congress convenes in January.”
Pompeo selected a first floor office in the Cannon House Office Building. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann currently occupies the space.
Effective January 3, 2011, the Kansas 4th District Congressional office in Washington, D.C. will be in 107 Cannon HOB. The phone number will remain 202-225-6216.
