WINFIELD, KS – Winfield Mayor Tom McNeish today announced his endorsement of businessman and military veteran Mike Pompeo in the 4th District Congressional race.
“Mike Pompeo is the type of leader we need representing us in Washington due to the fact he understands how increasing federal regulation and out of control federal spending is destroying Kansas jobs,” McNeish said. “Mike’s knowledge and experience of actually creating jobs will be good for Cowley County businesses – for example the G.E. Engine Services facility at Strother Field – and the hardworking Kansans who work in the aviation industry in Cowley County. Mike provides the leadership and experience that can benefit all Winfield businesses.”
McNeish currently serves as Mayor and City Commissioner of Winfield and is a member and past chairman of the Strother Field Commission.
“The federal government led by President Obama and Speaker Pelosi is out of control and Kansans are fed up with the broken promises of bloated government,” Pompeo said. “I know what it takes to create jobs and I can assure you, there’s no room for increased government regulation and taxes when it comes to growth in the private sector. We must create an environment that will encourage companies to grow and create jobs here in Kansas. Instead, the Obama-Pelosi agenda has created massive economic uncertainty that has destroyed thousands of Kansas jobs.”
