WICHITA, KS – Businessman, military veteran and 4th District Congressional candidate Mike Pompeo today announced his campaign fundraising totals for the 3rd quarter of 2010.
Pompeo raised more than $921,000 in the period covering July 15 through September 30 – which is a record for a quarterly total in a Kansas Congressional campaign. Since April of 2009, campaign to date fundraising totals stand at more than $1,855,000. At the close of the third quarter, the campaign had more than $535,000 cash on hand, compared to $341,000 for Democrat Raj Goyle. Additionally, most of Pompeo’s fundraising during this reporting period was done following the August 3rd primary.
In Kansas, Pompeo raised more than $739,000 from more than 880 contributors. Comparatively, Pompeo out-raised Democrat Raj Goyle in Kansas by more than a half million dollars.
“The broad support of voters of all political stripes and background across the 4th District of Kansas is truly humbling,” Pompeo said. “It is clear Kansas voters are fed up with the job-killing policies of the Obama-Pelosi agenda and are ready for a true change in Washington, D.C.”
