WICHITA, KS – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) PAC, Save America’s Free Enterprise Trust (SAFE Trust) today announced their endorsements of businessman Mike Pompeo in the 4th District Congressional race.
“As a small businessman, Mike Pompeo clearly understands the challenges facing Kansas’ small business owners,” said Dan Murray, state director of NFIB/Kansas. “Mike Pompeo will do everything he can to help our small, family businesses grow and create jobs and lead Kansas out of this recession.”
In an endorsement letter, U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas Donohue said, “It is the Chamber’s goal to help elect a pro-business Congress and work diligently in the interests of businesses large and small to advance legislation that encourages economic growth, job creation and a less intrusive federal government. Your support of pro-business issues earned you this endorsement. We believe that your election to the U.S. House will help produce sustained economic growth and help create more jobs.”
“I am honored to have the support of vitally important pro-job and small business organizations like the U.S. Chamber and NFIB,” Pompeo said. “In the current economy, our businesses are struggling. The largest tax increase in our nation’s history may be only a few short months away, and the uncertainty of its fate has made it impossible for small businesses to plan for the future and grow their business. I look forward to working with our pro-business community to bring smaller government, less regulation, lower taxes and economic stability back to America.”
