WICHITA, KS – Raj Goyle, Democrat nominee for 4th District Congress, has launched a negative and false attack in the race to replace outgoing U.S. Representative Todd Tiahrt.
Goyle has approved and distributed literature falsely accusing Wichita businessman and Republican nominee Mike Pompeo of “shipping Kansas jobs to other countries.” Not only did Pompeo never relocate Kansas jobs, he actually created hundreds of jobs in Kansas at the Wichita company he owned and operated.
“The only thing more amazing than Raj Goyle’s false attack on Mike Pompeo’s record of job creation is that it came from someone who has never run a business or created one job in Kansas,” said Pompeo Campaign Manager Rodger Woods. “Mike Pompeo knows the challenges of meeting a payroll, dealing with government overregulation and working under a punitive tax code, and he looks forward to taking that insight and business experience to Congress. Rep. Goyle’s experience in the world of the ACLU and liberal ‘think-tanks’ then moving back to Kansas to build a political career is not the experience we need in Washington, D.C.”
Goyle’s four-color hit piece was paid for by the Kansas Democratic Party and authorized by “Goyle for Congress”. Goyle has publicly admonished other candidates for running negative campaigns but apparently exempts himself from the standards he sets for others – just like the Obama Administration.
Pompeo has been endorsed by pro-economic growth organizations such as Club for Growth, Kansas Farm Bureau, Kansas Livestock Association and the leaders of job creating companies such as Boeing, Spirit Aerosystems, Cessna, Hawker-Beechcraft and Bombardier Aerospace.
