WICHITA, KS – The campaign of Kansas 4th District Republican Congressional nominee Mike Pompeo today expressed disappointment in State Representative Raj Goyle’s decision to decline an invitation from the Wichita Crime Commission to participate in a candidate forum at the commission’s August 26th meeting.
“When approached by the Wichita Crime Commission nearly two weeks ago, we gladly accepted the invitation to participate in a candidate forum involving Mike Pompeo and Raj Goyle,” commented Rodger Woods, Pompeo for Congress Campaign Manager.
“It’s our belief that the more both candidates are available for the voters to ask questions of and compare, it will be clear that Mike Pompeo is the best candidate to represent the 4th District of Kansas. We need a Congressman who will be accessible and who will answer to the voters of Kansas,” Woods concluded.
John McKay, President of the Crime Commission, has also expressed his disappointment that the forum will not happen.
