WICHITA, KS – After spending hundreds of thousands to buy a Congressional seat, and tens of thousands of dollars proclaiming his pledge to run a “clean campaign” Wink Hartman launched a vicious, untrue, attack on Mike Pompeo today.
“This is the problem voters have with Congress. They say one thing and do another,” stated Mike Pompeo. “Clearly, a Wink Hartman signature – on a tax document, a voter registration card or even on a campaign pledge – has no value.”
To date, no Mike Pompeo ad has mentioned any opponent. All Pompeo advertising has been built around Mike Pompeo’s positive record and the issues facing voters. The quote from Kansas Free Press blog was written by an attorney whose family law firm has worked for Wink Hartman. The author of Hartman’s ‘proof’ is also a Raj Goyle supporter and contributed to Barack Obama.
“Wink Hartman, tired of lying about his record as a resident of Florida, has decided to tell lies about me. The facts speak for themselves. I never moved a single job to Mexico – nor did my company. In a successful effort to create dozens of new jobs here in Wichita, I did, as our customer required my company to do, set up a new shop in Mexico in order to directly service a manufacturer in Mexico. Rather than reduce jobs in Kansas as Hartman’s attack suggests, we created more than 40 jobs in Wichita as a result of that contract,” Pompeo stated. The Hartman claim that Pompeo moved Kansas jobs to Mexico was made without a single piece of proof or documentation.
“I have been proud to be a Wichita resident for the past years. I’m proud of my life prior to moving here. I was a soldier, defending along the Iron Curtain, and I did work in Washingtonwhere I fought for term limits for Congressmen, work that actually challenged Washington, D.C. insiders.” Pompeo continued. “Wink Hartman, on the other hand, still cannot tell us the truth about whether he has lived in Kansas or Florida for the past decade and a half.”
“It is painfully clear that integrity means nothing to Wink Hartman. He boldly says he never lived in Florida while still evading taxes by claiming a homestead exemption there. He promised he would run a clean campaign, but launched the first attack ad of the campaign.” stated Pompeo campaign manager, Rodger Woods. “Apparently, he will do or say anything to get elected.”
