Poll Shows Pompeo Has the Momentum in 4th District Race
The results of a KWCH-Survey USA poll reveal businessman and military veteran Mike Pompeo has surged into the lead in the 4th District Congressional Race. The Pompeo campaign has made tremendous strides since the last KWCH-Survey USA poll was conducted nearly four months ago.
The new Survey USA poll sampled 609 likely Republican voters in the Kansas 4th Congressional District between June 21st and June 23rd and has a +/- 4.1% margin of error:
Mike Pompeo – 39%
Wink Hartman – 37%
Jim Anderson – 6%
Jean Schodorf – 9%
Paij Rutschman – 1%
Undecided – 8%
Today’s poll shows an increase of 29% for Pompeo from a similar poll conducted in February. Despite a half million dollar media blitz, Wink Hartman poll numbers have remained flat.
“Clearly, our grassroots campaign effort is resonating with voters across the 4th District,” commented Rodger Woods, Pompeo for Congress campaign manager. “This poll confirms the response we have seen as we have knocked on doors and made phone calls throughout the district.”
“After spending a half million dollars on advertising, including the first attack ad of the campaign, Mr. Hartman’s poll numbers have remained relatively unchanged,” noted Woods. “Despite Mr. Hartman’s statement that he will spend as much as it takes to win, this race is clearly about issues and character, not campaign spending.”
“This is a significant shift in momentum just 20 days from the first advance ballots being cast,” continued Woods. “As more voters begin looking closely at the top two candidates, and people across the district talk to their friends and neighbors about the issues, we expect the momentum to continue.”
