El Dorado Mayor Tom McKibban endorses Pompeo For Congress
EL DORADO, KS – The list of local government leaders in Butler County who have added their endorsement to the growing list of supporters of Mike Pompeo’s run for the 4th District Congressional race now includes El Dorado Mayor Tom McKibban.
“I’m deeply concerned about the direction our federal government is moving when it comes to health care, regulation and out of control spending,” commented McKibban. “Mike Pompeo understands the need for smaller government and less federal spending. That’s why I’m proud to support Mike’s candidacy.”
“His passion as a successful business leader and as someone who served in the Army are qualities we need in the next Congressman from the 4th District of Kansas,” concluded McKibban.
McKibban was elected mayor in El Dorado in 2007.
“Tom and I share the same belief that the federal government’s over spending, over regulating and burdensome taxation must stop,” said Pompeo. “It’s now clear with the passage of the health care bill, President Obama and Speaker Pelosi are convinced they can pass the next item on their agenda without listening to the American people. We need to send a message to the leaders in Washington that say we’re fed up with reckless spending of money we don’t have.”
