Pompeo: KS House Moves in the Right Direction in Stand Against Health Care Reform Bill
WICHITA, KS – Business and military veteran Mike Pompeo commented today on the Kansas House Resolution (H.R. 6036) that would direct the Kansas Attorney General to join several other states challenging the constitutionality of the recently passed Federal health care reform bill.
“The health care reform bill pushed through Congress last week will unconstitutionally strip the freedoms Americans enjoy when it comes to making life changing medical decisions,” commented Pompeo. “The health care reform scheme drafted by Obama, Pelosi and Reid will forever change the relationship between patients and doctors, while increasing the cost of health care and decreasing quality of care.”
“I commend the members of the Kansas House who are taking a stand against the unfunded Federal mandates that will accompany the Democrat health care scheme. This plan needs to be examined in light of our Constitution as soon as possible and Kansas should join those states standing up for our Constitutional rights.”
“We must force those on Capitol Hill who voted for this take over to realize this bill will do far more harm than good. I have signed the Club for Growth ‘Repeal It!’ Pledge and I will continue the battle to bring health care reform back to the House floor where a sensible, effective health care plan can be drafted,” concluded Pompeo.
