Wichita, KS – Today, Wichita businessman and military veteran Mike Pompeo called on State Representative and 4th District Congressional candidate Raj Goyle to make a statement on the Senate healthcare bill the will soon move to consideration in the U.S House.
“It is unbelievable that a person running for United States Congress would not take a position on an issue that will affect each and every American in such a profound way,” said Mike Pompeo. “My position is clear: the bill that is currently under consideration will do irreversible harm to the quality of healthcare in the United States, the doctor-patient relationship, and the U.S. economy.”
Representative Goyle was listed in “The Hill” online article entitled Democratic Candidates Distance Themselves From Healthcare Reform, as one of eight democrat candidates who “didn’t respond to several days’ worth of requests via phone and e-mail.”
“Rep. Goyle needs to return his phone calls on this important matter.” Pompeo said. “The voters in the 4th District deserve to know if he supports the government healthcare plan being set forth by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.”
In January, Mike Pompeo signed the Repeal It! Pledge, committing to support the repeal of the government take over of healthcare and support reforms that would lower cost without growing the size of government.
