WICHITA, KS – Republican business leader and military veteran Mike Pompeo has announced three new members of his campaign staff in his run for U.S. House of Representatives in Kansas 4th Congressional District. Rodger Woods, Josh Wells and Keith Dater are the newest members of Team Pompeo.
Woods will serve as the campaign manager and Wells will serve as communications director for the Pompeo campaign. Dater will oversee data management and scheduling.
With experience gained from working on numerous local and statewide political campaigns, Rodger Woods is a life long Kansan who was born and raised in Hutchinson. He obtained his law degree at the University of Kansas in 2000 and moved to Wichita to practice law. Woods is a past president of the Wichita Public Library Board and member of the Kansas Army National Guard, who recently returned from his second tour in Iraq. “I’m excited to be joining a campaign with tremendous momentum developed over the past months. It’s clear that voters in our district see that Mike’s conservative values and unmatched experience as an entrepreneur, Soldier and community leader is precisely what our nation needs to bring Washington back to its core missions of protecting our country, securing our freedoms and fiscal sanity,” Woods said.
Woods will take over for Aaron Jack (R-Kansas, State Representative, District 99) who has been serving as the campaign manager for the past eight months. Jack is making the transition to the campaign’s political strategist as he prepares for the upcoming 2010 Kansas Legislative session. “Aaron’s leadership has put us in position to make 2010 successful, and I look forward to having him continue to play a central role in our campaign,” said Mike Pompeo.
Josh Wells joins Team Pompeo with nearly 10 years of local news and media coverage experience. A news anchor, assignment editor and interactive news coordinator at KFDI News in Wichita, Wells brings a solid understanding of the news cycle and communication strategies to communicate the Team Pompeo message effectively. Wells was born and raised in Wichita, graduated from Kansas State University with a communications degree in 2003 and lives in Andover. “Mike’s record of military service and his success as a businessman creating jobs and maintaining conservative American values are all things my wife and I are proud to support,” Wells said. Wells officially assumes his duties on February 1st.
Also joining the campaign staff is Keith Dater, a graduate student working on his Masters degree in history. Dater was born in Salina and was raised in Sedgwick.
