Longtime Crime Commission Executive Endorses Pompeo
WICHITA, KS – The longtime and recently retired leader of the Wichita Crime Commission today announced his support and endorsement of Mike Pompeo in the Kansas 4th District Congressional race.
Bobby Stout, a 23 year veteran of the Wichita Police Department who retired as Deputy Chief, in 1980 and became the Executive Director of the Wichita Crime Commission, where he served for 30 years, called Mike Pompeo the candidate who has the desire, dedication and leadership ability to best represent the citizens of the 4th District.
“I met Mike Pompeo more than a year ago and from day one I’ve been impressed,” commented Stout. He’s the type of leader we need from the 4th District of Kansas who will go to Washington to lead the fight against the out of control government spending.”
“As an advocate of law enforcement for more than 50 years, I’ve seen first hand the types of federal policies and bureaucratic red tape that can do far more harm than good when fighting crime,” Stout continued. “I believe Mike Pompeo will fight to restore our national security, both foreign and domestic – securing our border with Mexico. Mike will be an ally in Washington law enforcement agencies can trust and depend on,” Stout concluded.
“As I’ve traveled across the District over the past 18 months, I’ve talked to police officers, sheriff’s and state troopers who are concerned about the growing threat of our unsecured border with Mexico,” Mike Pompeo said.
“The influx of drug and weapons trafficking coming into the United States from unsecured borders and ports must be a top priority. We need to eliminate the barriers standing between local, state and federal agencies working to fight the same crimes. We also must be sure our law enforcement officers are properly trained and equipped to fight the rising instances of identity theft and other technology-based crime,” concluded Pompeo.
