about Wink Hartman’s Lies
Wink Hartman is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars spreading lies about Mike Pompeo. But we know our team won’t stand for it. Please, help spread this information in any format you can.
Wink Hartman has violated his own pledge of running a “clean” campaign – within days of his TV commercial promising to refrain from saying anything negative about other Republican candidates, he was spending thousands of dollars attacking Mike Pompeo. This type of hypocrisy is at the core of the problems we have in Congress today.
Hartman launched negative TV and radio ads against Mike Pompeo on 6/29/10. Hartman asserts that Mike “started” the attacks. That’s untrue. Mr. Hartman disingenuously relies for his claim on a quote lifted from an online article written by Marty Keenan. What he does not tell you is that Marty Keenan is an attorney whose family law firm has worked for Wink Hartman. It also does not tell you that Keenan, an active liberal, has already declared his support for Raj Goyle and made multiple contributions to Barack Obama. Clearly, Marty has chosen to support Wink because he knows Raj can beat Wink, but cannot beat Mike.
Mike has never hidden his time as an attorney in Washington DC. In fact, Mike is proud of the fact that during his less than three years there, he was a leading advocate for Congressional term limits.
Mike never moved a single job to Mexico – nor did his company, Thayer Aerospace. When Thayer Aerospace was awarded a contract that created dozens of new jobs in Wichita, the customer required that up to two dozen contract employees be hired in Mexico. No jobs were “shipped” to Mexico, as Hartman’s attack ad states. (A claim made without a single piece of documentation or proof, exploiting Wink Hartman’s total lack of knowledge regarding Kansas’ critical aerospace industry and work climate.). Mike created hundreds and hundreds of jobs here in Kansas during a very challenging post-9/11 environment, a demonstration of leadership for which we should all be proud.
So, who is the political insider? Wink Hartman has twice run for public office. Mike Pompeo has never run for public office.
